Coara, our director with more than 40 years of experience in Yoga (in Brazil and New York City) and our international yoga instructors who are here to expertly guide you through your yoga teacher training here in Rio de Janeiro. Their combined years of experience and intuitive teaching approach provide an in-depth understanding of the ancient wisdom of yoga as well as practical teaching techniques.

We do have world class Yoga Studios in beautiful neighborhoods in Rio de Janeiro so you can practice and lear in a very appropriate environment. We have dates for this English spoken teacher training during the entire year of 2024.
You will have unmatched Yoga Training that includes not only the basic Yoga techniques such as Asana, pranayamas, meditation, restaurative Yoga but also learn the sacred texts that are the core of every Yoga Lineage today such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and Hatha Yoga Pradipika. You will also get basic knowledge of Ayurveda and how your astral map influences your Yoga Practice.
We consider our Yoga Residency complete because we cover not only the physical aspects abut also the energetic, mental, meditative and spiritual techniques of this sacred art call Yoga.
Combining modern teaching techniques with ancient wisdom, we will work with you to deepen your understanding and love of yoga, no matter your level of practice. Each student will be encouraged to challenge themselves physically and spiritually, and will emerge from our intensive yoga trainings ready to practice and teach safely with confidence and skills.
The daily course outline consists of morning yoga and meditation practice, classes (modules range from anatomy, philosophy, history of Indian yogic culture, and class sequencing), afternoon practice and group teaching. You will follow a very practical hands-on approach, learning the art of adjustments, key pose alignments, the use of basic yoga props, and how to approach yoga as a business. We explore ethical topics such as yoga etiquette, as well as the practical elements of teaching such as marketing, pricing and time management.
A pivotal component of our course is the physical practice of different styles of yoga. Students will practice the Ashtanga Primary series as well as Vinyasa, Yin and Intensive Yoga, gaining an appreciation for the many different form of yoga in the modern world.
Upon graduating, students will be able to draw from their own experience of this wide variety of yoga styles to create and enhance their own class sequences!
